Spiral of Questions

Have you ever been in a situation where you knew something about someone or something that they did, you ask them, and they deny it but they don’t know that you already know all the facts?

I know, that’s a mouth full. But it has recently happened to me and I don’t really know how to feel about it. I never thought that I would be in this situation and I also didn’t think that I would feel this bad about it.

Now I don’t know what to do about it. First, my brain is in a spiral of questions. Why didn’t they just tell me? Do they not trust me? Do they think I will be judging them? What am I doing know that is making them feel the way they feel in concealing what they are hiding from me?

I didn’t ask directly but I did ask this person something in regards to my concern. I thought they were going to tell me, I thought they were going to come clean. No, what they didn’t isn’t even bad, I shouldn’t be concerned regarding the fact that they did what they did, its actually something that I would have been ok with if we would have talked about it because we have before. It’s the fact that they did it and they didn’t tell me, and them when they had the option to they still didn’t.

Then this all leads me to think that they may do this with other things. They may hid things that I didn’t even know. Trust, that is what I am looking for. Have I not demonstrated enough of it to show that I can be trusted?

I want to wave it off, tell my brain to stop overthinking because its just hurting me. Or should I just ask them? Tell them I came across something, and see what they’re reaction is. But now its too late, too much time has passed.

Maybe with time they will have the need to tell me themselves, but if I gave them a chance why didn’t they then and there.

I’m reading too into this and I know it.

Cheating

I have talked about this before, so its not something new, if you don’t remember what I said about cheating or think that my opinions are new read this to refresh your memory —-> Its Not Cheating, It’s Just Sex.

With that being said, I am no one to judge someone who has cheated on their partner. I am not saying I approve it, but I am not anyone’s dad to scold them if they do either. Its your life, do what you want, I’ll give you my opinion if you ask for it, but don’t get mad if its not what you want to hear. Your actions your consequences.

I understand why people cheat. Trust me I do. I get it, you’re not happy, you don’t like your partner any more, something is not going right in the relationship. Or maybe the love that your partner once gave you is coming from a different place and it just honestly feels good. Who doesn’t want to be appreciated?

But why not communicate that to the person you are with? If they can’t compromise with you, or at least try, maybe they don’t love you as much either. Maybe you shouldn’t be with them.

I know many people have many opinions about cheating, I’m not saying mine is right or that there even is a correct one. I have known people that have cheated but have worked it out with who they were with.

I don’t know if I could continue with any one that would cheat on me. I am too paranoid as it is already, I am too emotional, and I waer my hurt on my shirt like a brand logo.

My boyfriends opinion is that ‘everyone has needs’. He only said it once when his friends brought up cheating. I do want to ask him what he meant by that, but I also don’t want him to think I am paranoid, even though this whole paragraph makes me look like I am, so I guess I am, and what?

I want to ask him what he means. How he feels about cheaters, if he ever would, I mean I know you cant predict the future and you can say and swear that you would never, but still, the mentality that you have now is a pretty strong indication. I just need the reassurance that he wont. It scares me that if he says that everyone has needs he might think its ok if its sex and be inclined to do it in the future.

Would you forgive a cheater?

I’ve heard people say that they would if all they did was have sex, because its just sex. They say that if there was an emotional bond it would be different. I just don’t even want to be placed in a situation like that.

Maybe I shouldn’t even think about it, but with everyone doing it, it scares me.

Déjà Vu

I am a giver.

If I become one of your friends I do not take that job lightly. Once you have gained my trust you are let into my world. The walls that I carry around me are let down. Sure, I still keep some up, but you still get to see who I am in many ways. I don’t play games when it comes to friends. If you give me time and attention, I will do the same. But I am sensitive, I get hurt easily, I am a lightweight.

I’m not currently talking to my best friend. It’s been weird. I don’t really know what’s going on. Well, I do. I know exactly how I feel about it. I’m just trying to find the right words to use to explain it.

I thought we told each other everything. No secrets. But I HATE, when I give more than I get. I know that it may sound selfish, and to be honest it is. But I don’t care, I feel I give enough to expect back. Back to the subject at hand, essentially I got tired of always talking about me.

Our conversations always consisted of me telling him what I am up to, what I am doing at the moment. When he would ask me how my day was, I would go into detail and tell him everything I had done. If I asked him how his day was his response would be “good” and that’s it. If I asked him anything about his family or anything personal I would never get a straight answer. It would always be generic or bland. As if I was talking to a computer. If I wanted to know more I had to pry, I had to ask very straight forward questions or else I would get dizzy running circles.

So I started acting the same way he did. I was a mirror of what he was. Short answers, very vague responses. It only got worse. The communication was repetitive and the conversations never went anywhere. So I had enough and I stopped replying. Its been a couple of days now.

He texted me yesterday saying that he hopes that I am doing well. I didn’t reply. Why would I? This same thing happened last year. And he came crawling back apologizing for how suborn he was. I forgave him. Why is he so secretive? I understand not everyone is like me, not everyone is willing to spill their hearts out to their friends. But to build friendships you need a certain vulnerability. And in this one there is none.

I don’t know where we will end up. I don’t know what will happen. I am at a point where I don’t really care. I am tired of always being the one that has to save relationships. I did nothing wrong and maybe he thinks that too. I don’t know what my next move is, maybe he does. I’ll sit here and wait patiently in the mean time.

Do They Know Me?

The concept of actually knowing some one makes my little brain flutter with emotions.

How do you know someone? Sure, you know there favorite color, favorite foods, the things that make them happy, and even the things that they hate. But these are just things that you know of them, not necessarily them, themselves.

I know a lot of people. Well better said, I know of a lot of people. I know many things about them. Through the course of years I’ve gotten to know more and more about them. They too have grown to know of me. But do they know me?

Do they know me? No. They know the me that I let them see. They know the person I want them to see. The person they want me to be. Why? To keep them? To make them happy? To not cause any confrontations? The answer to all of these may possibly be yes.

I would like someone, at least one person, to get to know me. Not of me. Not my favorite color, nor food, or anything that describes me. I want them to know me.

Trust 2.0

In the years I have being an adult I have found that you can’t trust anyone. You can’t trust your companions, your friends, and sometimes you can’t even trust yourself.

Why is that? Why do some of us trust so easily? Oh thank you for opening the door for me, now let me tell you about my first heart break.

I don’t tend to just throw around my trust. But when I do get to meet someone that seems to understand me and see who I am, then I feel like I can trust them with secrets. I go all in. I don’t hold back. If I see in you that I can trust you, then you better be prepared.

But then again, if you break that trust. It’s down hill. I will not be able to trust as easily as I had before. What changed? Why would you betray me? How could you hurt us like that.

Trust is a huge thing. Some people have it some people don’t. Some people care for it, others just smile and nod them go off and stab you in the back.

The question is, which one are you?
